Can I just say that I am not a morning person!?! I don't like to wake up early, and probably never have minus a few special circumstances. The night before I have an early day I usually have trouble sleeping simply because of the anxiety tied to knowing that my alarm clock is going to go off at the crack of dawn. Often times I wake up with a stomach ache that is unlike any other normal ache. Not like cramps, not like I'm gonna barf... It just hurts for some weird reason. Even when I was in high school I remember starting the day with this weird tummy ache. I have no idea what causes it. And then of course lately when I wake up early I feel nauseated til about 1 o'clock. But if I don't wake up early---no nausea! See why mornings are no fun for me...In general, I usually feel like a zombie from 8am til about lunchtime when I get some more energy in my system.
The only times in my life that I can remember liking to wake up were when during the summer when I would wake up to go run outside. Those days weren't so bad, but they were also accompanied by a completey lazy afternoon with hardly any responsibilities.
Even on my mission I never got 'used' to waking up early. As soon as I got home I slept in til 10 or 11 like a pro... granted, I was insanely exhausted and needed like 2 months to recover.
But anyways, I guess I'm just one of those people that needs her sleep. I'm happier when I get about 9 hours of sleep every night. I don't like feeling stressed about how much sleep I won't be getting when I'm overly booked with responsibilities. I'm telling you... I freak out when I forsee sleepless nights in my future. It's not good.
A rested Megan is a happy Megan. :)

I Had A GREAT day!
Today was a great day! It's been a while that I've been able to say that on a work day. The last month I have been sooo exhausted. After I get home from work all I want to do is sit down and relax. Which explains why our house has gotten so messy. Chorse like vacuuming or mopping sound tortorous on my fatigued body, so they haven't been done. But tonight-- I vacuumed! and cleaned up our bedroom and bathroom to make it almost spotless! It's been awhile since its looked like this. That's one of the reasons why today was such a great day, because I did all of that cleaning after work, and after going grocery shopping. Finally I have more energy.
Another reason why today was a good day is because I realized that I actually really like my job. I'm getting to know the people I work with more and more. And we also enjoy eachother more and more. I'm getting my tasks down really well and have also seen a lot of success with what I've accomplished for the dental practice. The other reason why I like it is because of the kids. It's always a treat to get to help out the Dr in the back and assist him with the patients. Even though we're doing dental work--something most people don't find enjoyable--I like being able to take care of the kids and make them happy and comfortable. I'm glad its working out.
I'm also really excited to be a mommy. I can't wait to have an ultrasound and actually see him or her. And I can't wait to find out if it's a him or her! Sean and I are both so excited to be parents. It's been something that we've almost bonded over from the beginning because we were both eager to start a family.
And finally--I'm really happy its starting to feel like spring! The weather has been wonderful!

We're Having a BABY!
I am pregnant!! YAY! Most of you who read this have probably heard this through the grapevine some way or another---and if you havent: Surprise! :)
I am currently 10 weeks along and my due date is October 8th! We are very excited! We took that photo of me on February 5th--the day we found out-- pregnancy test and all! Since then I'll admit that my waistline has thickened slightly, I have been nauseated and exhausted among other normal early pregnancy symptoms. I've been very lucky though. It's all been very manageable and I haven't missed any work, thankfully.
Storytime: My family has only known this news since last Sunday. I really wanted to announce my pregnancy to my family in a special way on my mom's birthday, March 5th. It didn't work out for me to be there that day though because I had to go to Florida for some work training. So the next day, March 6th, Sean and I went to my parent's house for dinner. Finally I got up the courage to give my mom her birthday present, enclosed with the surprise. I bought a little necklace shaped like a heart that said 'grandmother' on it. She began opening it, Nate was sitting next to her. She pulled it out, and the more priceless memory was Nate's face. He reads it, looks at me, reads it again with a confused look and says "Grandma?". Melissa instantly said "Are you pregnant?" I said "Yes, I am!" Everyone was pretty shocked to say the least! It was really awesome to see how surprised they were, but how excited they quickly became! It was a really fun birthday surprise!

February 26th

Today marks 1 year since my first date with Sean. It was exactly one week after I stepped off the plane in SLC. The Tuesday after I came home he wrote this message on Facebook: "Hey if you find yourself up near provo area give me a holler and if you havent been on your first date back home yet then allow me to assist you :D"
This cracked me up. Luckily I was also on facebook when I got the message so I saw him online and started chatting with him. Eventually he got around to asking me if I read his message, and eventually we established that we would see eachother for a date that Friday. The way our conversation ended kind of put the ball in my court though--like I would have to be the one to contact him that Friday since I had already planend to be in Provo earlier during the day. Dang it. I was instantly impressed when he called me that night to tell me that he would figure out what we would do and what time etc. Hmmm... Of course he called me on Friday and told me that he was going to take me ice skating with his ward party. I was excited.
I got to his apartment around 9 (he had just finished working). I still remember seeing him walk out of his building and look at me in my car. My first thought was "he looks pretty cute" and I got out of the car to give him a big hug. Thinking back on that makes me feel so happy. I had no idea what a wonderful ride I was in for.
Anyways, we went to Seven Peaks to go ice skating. I was blown away by how nice he was to me and by how grown up he seemed. As a missionary I remember him as kind of a goof ball. He would always do funny things on p-day to catch attention and make people laugh. I had no idea he could be so sweet and more mature. After skating we went to get ice cream at the Malt Shoppe in Provo. His friend Steven also accompanied us. We just chatted and had a good time. I remember it being really hard for me to call him 'Sean' instead of 'McWhorter' as I had previously referred to him. And I'm pretty sure he called me Sister Forsey a few times! :) And I was definitely a weirdo... just ask him. Only home for a week... not pretty.
When our date ended I gave him a hug, sincerely told him I had had a good time, and he told me he'd give me a call. I eagerly responded saying that would be great. In that moment I surprised even myself. I had gone into that date thinking that I would probably see him once, and not very often after that. It never occurred to me that he might actually ask me out again like any confidant interested guy. But I went home with a little smile on my face as I thought about how adorable Elder McWhorter had become since he had been home...*sigh* Such fond memories. One year ago today.
These are photos I have of he and I as missionaries. The top one was taken on a p-day at the very beginning of my mission. He was getting transferred from our Zone that week. I remember thinking that I would probably never see him again in the mission, but I was wrong!
The middle pic was taken of he and I on his birthday March 9, 2009. I made that chocolate cake for him, also on a p-day, and he proceded to smash it in his face. I'm telling you--he was such a goof. I remember laughing so hard at him that day I almost peed myself and fell out of my seat. Geez.
And the bottom picture was taken the last time we saw eachother in the mission. It was transfer day. The first day of his last transfer. I didn't get to go to the transfer meeting when he went home, and I was confidant that I wouldn't get to so we took a picture together before he went home. That's that!

Fictionist
Stuart Maxfield is married to my cousin Brittney. I have been able to watch him and his band Fictionist play for a few years and think they are awesome! They are in the running to be on the cover of Rolling Stone, play on the Jimmy Fallon show, and sign a record deal. If you see this, please click on the 5 star rating to put in a vote and 'like' it on your facebook page. Thanks! :)

BYU Basketball

Today we went to the BYU vs. UNLV basketball game. Sean was a lot more excited to go when I suggested he wear red to support his Vegas team. He even laid out a red shirt for me and suggested that I wear it too... haha yeah, right. I bleed blue!
But the game was really fun! Thanks to my dad for taking us! There, and to Texas Roadhouse for dinner! Delish! It was a fun day! :)

The New Job
The last two days have been interesting. I worked about 10 hours yesterday and 9 hours today. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are the main exam days for seeing patients so they have to pack everyone in. Thursday and Friday are spent at the hospital with little kids who have to be knocked out completely for the dentist to be able to work on their teeth. So the dentist and his assistants are usually not actually in the office. Those days I only work like 5 hours each.
Yesterday, my first day, went differently than planned. About 12:30 the girl who was training me randomly quit. She had already put in her notice, but wasn't supposed to finish for another two weeks after I was trained (she is having a baby at the end of the month). But I guess something happened between her and the dentist, and so she quit. And left. The other person who is there to be in the front office is only there Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and then the Office Manager/ Collections guy has only been working for a month and was still in training. Crazy eh? Needless to say yesterday afternoon I was practically let loose and had to hold down the fort for 3 hours after learning the job for 5 hours. Not what I expected. It was especially ironic when I remembered I told the dentist during my interview that one thing I appreciate is being trained thoroughly. :)
Anyways, I like this job though. I get to speak Spanish often. I'm getting the hang of the regular tasks that need to be done with the patients. I just need to figure out more what my responsibilities are in between that. It will be fun. I just hope all the people there are patient with me as I try to learn everything partially on my own and without someone by my side for the first two weeks.
Well, that's that. Wish me luck! :)
